Biography
Nick Boggs graduated from Ohio State University Cum Laude with a major in Political Science and a double minor in economics and criminology. He went on to graduate in the top quarter of his class from The University of Kentucky College of Law. During law school he was vice president of the Moot Court Board, the school's appellate advocacy competition organization, and a member of the Trial Advocacy Board.
He worked at the public defender's office for several years, developing litigation expertise. Nick Boggs has represented clients facing charges ranging from minor misdemeanors to felony offenses that carry a potential sentence of life in prison. Mr. Boggs fought to protect his clients' constitutional rights by litigating the suppression of unlawful searches, seizures, and interrogations. He has worked with the Appellate Division of the Louisville Metro Public Defender's office and is familiar with appellate procedure. He has written briefs and conducted dozens of hearings and made hundreds of appearances on behalf of his clients. He has appeared in every District Criminal Court and Circuit Courtroom in Jefferson County. Mr. Boggs is well acquainted with the processes and mechanisms of litigation as well as the options and programs open to defendants. Mr. Boggs has also attended the annual Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy training program as well as the Dayton Trial Advocacy training program.
